It is now clearer how to choose an icon when editing a label. When viewing the metadata tab in the console, Chorus expands the space allocated to large metadata fields. A new Collections tab has been added to the console, to show where a file has been used in Chorus by other users. Read-only metadata fields now show their value when in Edit mode. A download button has been added to each revision on the Revisions tab. The user's permissions are now displayed on the Info tab. Styling and headings are now consistent between all of the tabs.Moving files from a search or Smart Collection: Chorus now allows files in search results to be selected and moved, either using the actions menu or dragging and dropping in split-pane mode. The user performing the move will need to have appropriate permissions, as expected.Space management: There is now an option in the Space manager to set multiple users' home space to the current Space. This is useful where users do not yet have a home space, as a user's home space defines their metadata catalogs, theme and download presets.Chorus 2.8 also contains a number of improvements and bug fixes:User interface improvements: A number of minor user interface changes have been included to improve consistency. These changes include layouts and wording on features such as the GPS location maps, modal forms and tooltips.Data Center Edition: This update includes various automated housekeeping tasks and optimizations which reduce overheads on the server storage, such as clearing unnecessary copies of old versions of Chorus packages and pruning records of completed uploads.Bug fixes, performance and security updates: PDF previews are now generated with ProPhoto, providing enhanced quality and fidelity. Deleting an API key now immediately invalidates all existing sessions that were using the key. This release of Chorus also provides additional migration features which allow IMS v6 customers to migrate their \"Secure File Fetch\" links to Chorus, allowing a smooth migration of content that currently refers to an IMS v6 instance. Automatic location tagging based on GPS coordinates is now working correctly again, meaning images with Exif location data will automatically be tagged with Country, State and City metadata. Built-in search facets (for example, file size, orientation) now work correctly when other metadata facets are not available. Performance has been improved for searches involving large datasets.Uploads, downloads and file types: Downloading .MTS and .MOV files no longer changes the file extension to .MP4 at download. Chorus now supports Exif data in certain IIQ (Phase One) files. JPEG images no longer show an artefact when they have been rotated by Chorus. The permissions of the folder share now apply correctly.User interface: View preferences (for example, thumbnail size, layout type) are now remembered between logins. This is a per-user preference. A dragged selection around thumbnails is no longer lost when scrolling.Data Center Edition: Log rotation has been improved, and various stability improvements have been made, including health monitoring around storage. This build also includes enhanced tools used by Third Light's Customer Success Team to migrate sites from IMS v6 to Chorus.
