Finally, when ran on my Windows 10 laptop, I just did the same for my Windows 10 desktop which used the same remote probe collection. On my desktop, I got the same response, “the AppX package could not be installed, access denied” So from here it leads me to wonder if there is a permission needed on the target machine? Or if it is something to do with the machine not being able to see, or talk to, the MID Server. One thought I had on this is getting this remote probing app working with a laptop while plugged into the target’s network cable, without using the laptop’s wifi. I haven’t tested this yet.
Note: This remote probing stuff is for fun. It would not include looking into hardware, removing malware, viruses or anything that could cause data loss or damage. The Sonos gives you a pair of speakers that is somewhat decent but for really a desktop, you are better off investing in something like the Klipsch R-15 speakers in the picture below.
These Klipsch R-15’s actually had been discontinued, so when I found them at a mid-range price and free shipping, I was glad to have them. That was a year or so ago and look at the price. How depressing Amazon prices can be.
