This is a late PAL prototype as its build date places it a few months before the retail releases of other versions of the game. This version of Pinocchio differs from the Sega Mega Drive version of the game in that it features more detailed parallax scrolling and a larger, lighter colour palette that looks somewhat more comparable to the Super NES version, coinciding with information coming from magazine previews that mention the 32X version[2].
The textures are also capable of working with parallax occlusion mapping, which gives the graphics a 3D, textured feel. You can see the ridges and grooves really pop, adding more depth to the typically flat surfaces of Minecraft blocks.
The optic is high-end and does come with the associated price tag of a high-quality optic. However you do get what you pay for with this scope. The Nightforce NX8 comes in three variants, 1-8x, 2.5-20x and 4-32x. I had the long-range shooters dream, the 4-32x variant in first focal plane (FFP). The NX8 comes with features you would expect on a high-end scope such as zero stop, parallax adjustment and a built-in throw lever for changing magnification more easily.
At the range the Nightforce NX8 was easy to sight in at 100 yards and when pushing it to longer distances I began to get a feel for all its features such as the zero stop, parallax and throw lever. After shooting out to 200 yards on paper targets, I moved to shooting steel gongs from the prone position at 200, 300, 400 and 500 yards. The optic performed flawlessly and was a pleasure to use. Winding up and down the turrets was a breeze and the audible clicks were satisfying. The target acquisition was made extra easy with the simple reticle and bright glass.
Combat ensues against an array of stages set throughout the globe, incorporating impressive parallax scrolling and animated background characters (many of which inexplicably perform unintentionally amusing hand movements). The arenas are sharp, vivid and colourful. Whilst the anime-styled fighters are similarly well portrayed the necessary omission of animation frames lends a staccato feel to the bouts, but not to the detriment of the tremendously visceral gameplay. 59ce067264
