Prey Shotgun Vs Margrave

The S4 is a standard pump-action shotgun with a tube magazine that holds 4 rounds if stock, 10 rounds if fully upgraded. There's really nothing special about it. The only futuristic feature is the ammunition counter on the side.
The shotgun is useful when confronting enemies in small spaces or when facing a tough opponent. Unless a swarm of weak enemies are encountered, it is typically better to reserve shotgun ammo for larger threats like the Phantom and use the wrench or pistol on smaller threats like the Mimic. The shotgun deals very high damage at close range but suffers from a rapid damage fall-off at longer ranges.
Shotgun ammunition is rarer than pistol ammunition and more expensive to manufacture with a Fabricator. As a result, it can be rather difficult to keep the shotgun supplied with enough ammo to use it as a main weapon, and it is best saved for more powerful enemies. Shotgun shells take up one inventory slot for every 48 rounds carried.
The shotgun can be an extremely powerful weapon when fully upgraded and the Firearms I and II neuromods are installed. This brings the firepower all the way up to 98, allowing it to kill most enemies within three shots in most cases; if a critical hit is dealt it can even bring down the Nightmare in just 2-3 shots at close range on normal difficulty.
The shotgun is a tried and true solution for panicked situations, and the margrave version is not only strong but nice to look at too. Here's everything you need to know about the margrave shotgun so you can make sure no suspicious coffee cups take you by surprise.
The normal shotgun in Prey is simply called the Throne S4 Tactical Pump Shotgun, with the Margrave being an alternate version that was offered as part of the Cosmonaut Shotgun Pack included with preordered copies of the game.
So that's where you can get the Margrave if you were someone who decided to preorder Prey, but what about everyone else The game has been out for quite a while now, and you obviously can't preorder it anymore, so is there an alternate way to get this cool-looking variant of the shotgun
These are all useful early on, especially that shotgun. Mimics will go down quickly with that loadout. After an hour or two, though, chances are you'll accumulate most of that stuff on your own. Bethesda and Arkane wouldn't design a game you couldn't finish without pre-order DLC, so don't worry if you don't have it.
After the wrench, you'll get your hands on the GLOO Gun. However, it's a gun almost in name only. You can use the GLOO Gun to dispatch some enemies, but Arkane designed it with climbing in mind. Trek ahead a little further and you'll find a shotgun. Those will be your tools of the trade throughout most of Prey's campaign.
To get the shotgun, make your way to the lobby of Talos I. Your entrance triggers an explosion. Head toward the security station by heading to the right on Level One of the area. You'll encounter plenty of Mimic aliens along your path. Don't take a risk by bludgeoning them with your wrench. Instead, draw them in range of a nearby turret.
Through the security door you should see some yellow pipes. Climb them, then crouch and move forward to crawl. Proceed until you reach a hole in the wall. Drop through it, and you'll find yourself overtop the security station. Descend into the office and grab the shotgun on a nearby desk. Don't forget to take the shells on your way out.
Arkane rewards those who pre-ordered Prey by providing access to a shotgun much earlier. Redeem your pre-order code and begin a new game. Once you take control of Morgan Yu, enter your office and open your locker. Within you'll find the Margrave shotgun waiting. Now armed and dangerous, you won't have to rely on a turret to mow down any aliens you come across as you head back onto the main path.
The pre-order bonus includes The Margrave shotgun, the Shotgun Shells Fabrication Plan, and several Neuromods, Medkits, and crafting materials. If you're having trouble in other areas of Prey, we also have guides on all safe codes and door keycodes that should help you out!
Not only do you have a cool shotgun, you have a recipe for your fabricator to create shotgun shells. The fabricator is located in your office in the room next to your desk. You can find a guide on how to craft shotgun shells and other items here.
Players can pre-order the game to receive an exclusive Cosmonaut Shotgun Pack, which holds Neuromods for new abilities, a Margrave shotgun and tools, a fabrication plan to craft Shotgun Ammo, a starting builder kit for weapons and tools, and a new upgrade. 153554b96e
