Flashing back to 1893, the episode shows early Dutton settlers meeting up with a group of Native Americans who have set up camp on their newly-claimed land. The group has come to ask permission to bury a member of their tribe on the land that used to be theirs, and the Dutton family sympathizes, granting permission and offering a calf to help the group through the hard winter. The flashback is setting the stage for later ritual finds on the land, but also points to the Yellowstone prequel series coming soon from Paramount+.
As John prepares to leave the hospital and convalesce at his own ranch, he sees Jimmy in physical therapy with his girlfriend Mia and learns that Jimmy has been injured by falling from a horse, effectively breaking his word to John that he wouldn't try to ride rodeo anymore. After an ambulance ride home, he's confronted with a hospital bed and a chipper nurse, both incongruous with the Yellowstone aesthetic. John quickly dismisses the medical equipment and staff before sitting down with Beth to discuss the aftermath of the attack, still uncertain what exactly happened and what has been taken from him. At this moment, Kayce stands up from his hiding place in the fields dressed in a ghillie suit , finally revealing that all the Dutton's did survive the assault.
Originally, we opened the season premiere with a three-minute scene featuring Carter and Tess as they realize their long-distance relationship isn't working. Tess ultimately makes the call to break it off. The scene was beautifully acted and it made us weep to have to cut it for time.
I'm certain we will find out what that whole previously-on breakup scene with Tess is all about but I did notice the shirt she was wearing at the end of the episode was the same one that she was wearing on the holo breakup message. Hmmm
Many thanks. Yes, we'll get the original break-up scene out there. And yes, we chose to have the actress in the same shirt because the deleted scene at the opening of \"Founders' Day\" was designed to be book-ended by the revelation that she had returned, but Carter isn't sure she isn't a hologram (holo-skyping from Australia) until she kisses him. When you see the scene in context, it makes sense.
Kido stops Iijima before he kills Mingus, mostly because one of the new soldiers, a corporal, is breaking down from witnessing such uncalled for violence. Kido sends the corporal outside to compose himself and has some of the other soldiers take Mingus away.
When Jon refers to the wildlings as \"Free Folk,\" Slynt accuses him of going native, to the extent he even talks like them. Jon snaps back, acknowledging that he talks like a wildling and also admits to living amongst the wildlings, eating with them, and climbing the Wall with them. He catches himself before admitting that he lay with one, but says it anyway. Slynt calls for Jon's execution for breaking one of his vows. Aemon points out the impracticality of executing every ranger who lays with a girl and says that \"the Wall would be manned by headless men.\" Thorne says that there is a difference between sneaking off to the Mole's Town brothel and sleeping with the enemy.
That evening in their castle guest quarters, Spike goes over a checklist and noting that they are way ahead of schedule, suggests that they have time to make a quick trip to Ponyville, then return to finish off the checklist before the celebration. Twilight decides to stay in Canterlot in case something goes wrong that requires her attention; this being her first royal duty, she doesn't want to let down her old teacher. Princess Celestia enters the room and says that she is actually looking forward to the celebration for the first time. Looking out the window as Princess Luna raises the moon from a tower balcony, she explains that to her subjects, the holiday celebrated her victory over Nightmare Moon, but to her, it was always a painful reminder that she had to banish her beloved sister to the moon. She then brightens up, stating that it now reminds her of Luna's transformation back and the happy reunion with her. Celestia is happy to have Twilight as part of the festivities, but knows it must have been hard to have her friends return home without her. While no longer teacher and student, Celestia reaffirms that she will always be there if Twilight needs her, just as she hopes that Twilight will be there for her. After sharing a nuzzle, Celestia leaves Twilight and Spike to go over the checklist one more time. As she walks down the corridor, a black root breaks through the floor and pursues her off-screen. All that is heard is Celestia's startled gasp and a short cry of alarm.
Twilight's friends tell her about the Everfree Forest, just as a large root breaks through a window. Twilight explains that Princess Celestia and Princess Luna are missing, and gives her friends their Elements of Harmony necklaces. Applejack tells Twilight that the Elements of Harmony will always keep the friends together. Applejack asks who they may be firing on, and Twilight comes to the conclusion that there's a bit too much chaos going on to just be a coincidence.
Luna breaks down the wall behind her and raises the moon in front of the sun, causing a solar eclipse. The eclipse's shadow envelops her, transforming her into Nightmare Moon, the antagonist of the season one premiere. As she cackles, the shot zooms in on Twilight, who is in disbelief of what she has just seen.

Joe breaks up the arguments and gets a call from Cecile. She says that Barry has been found. The team goes to CCPD, where Cecile takes them to him, but tells them to be ready. As they enter the room, Barry has written all over the walls with strange symbols. Everyone is happy to see him, but Barry doesn't seem to recognize them, only talking nonsense. Caitlin says they need to bring him to S.T.A.R. Labs and sedates him.
Season 4 of The Big Bang Theory returned to television on September 23, 2010, and contained 24 episodes. Throughout the season, both Sheldon and Howard become more involved in their girls/girlfriends and Penny realizes her true feelings for Leonard following their third season break-up, especially after Leonard begins to date Raj's younger sister, Priya. While Amy and Bernadette were main characters in season 4, some episodes have them with minimal screen time.
